How it works
Most online image converters upload your file to a server, process it, and give you a download link — meaning your image sits on someone else's machine. This one uses your browser's built-in canvas engine instead, so conversion is instant and private. PNG keeps full quality and transparency; JPG is smallest for photos but flattens transparency to white; WebP balances both. The quality slider applies to JPG and WebP output.
FAQ
Why can't I use WebP images anywhere?
WebP is the format Google Images and many websites serve because it compresses well, but plenty of software — older editors, some office suites, many upload forms — still won't accept it. Converting to PNG or JPG makes the image universally usable.
Is there a file size limit?
Only your device's memory. Because conversion happens locally there's no server-side limit — very large images just take a moment longer.
Do you upload my images?
No. The file is read and converted by JavaScript in your browser using the canvas API. It never touches a server, which also means there's no queue, no watermark, and no privacy risk.
